The San Francisco 49ers host the Tennessee Titans in Week 15, although there are plenty of other games Niners fans will watch to determine the pecking order in the 2018 NFL Draft.

It seems like only yesterday San Francisco 49ers fans were thinking the Niners could easily wind up with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft.

San Francisco was winless not long ago, after all, competing with the still-winless Cleveland Browns for the top selection this April. But the 3-10 49ers have all but given up on their shot on finishing with this coveted pick.

The Niners host the 8-5 Tennessee Titans in Week 15. And while Tennessee’s finish will have zero impact on general manager John Lynch’s first-round draft choice, there will be those who want San Francisco to lose this contest.

For better draft position, of course.

You won’t hear players or coaches say that, and there have been zero signs the 49ers are taking. But if the draft were to start today, the top-five order would be as such:

  1. Cleveland Browns (0-13)
  2. New York Giants (2-11)
  3. Indianapolis Colts (3-11)
  4. San Francisco 49ers (3-10)
  5. Cleveland Browns (via Houston Texans — 4-9)

The Indianapolis Colts lost to the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football this week, so they won’t fall below the Niners in draft position. But there are a number of other teams in reach of the top five, though, so let’s take a look at which opponents you’ll want to see lose to top-draft contenders in Week 15.

Assuming if you’re pulling for the 49ers to win, of course.
