Despite their 39-38 loss on Sunday Night Football to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Baltimore Ravens are another one of those teams no one wants to play over the final few weeks.
True, Baltimore coughed up a 31-20 lead in the fourth quarter. But that’s what can happen when facing an elite-level offense like that of the Steelers. And it didn’t help the Ravens defense was absolutely gassed towards the end of the game.
Still, no changes in NFL power rankings this week.
The Ravens did a good job limiting Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell during the game. And their own running back, Alex Collins, looks to be a nice budding star in the making. He had 120 rush yards and a touchdown.
But Baltimore had zero answers against Pittsburgh wide receiver Antonio Brown (not many teams do), which proved to be decisive in the waning minutes.
Fortunately, the Ravens have a kind schedule down the stretch with games against the Browns, Colts and Bengals to wrap up the regular season.
Biggest Question
The schedule makers did the Ravens a favor by making this final stretch pretty easy. The only question will be whether or not Baltimore can win out and slide into one of two Wild Card spots with a 10-6 record.
It seems likely, but let’s hope the Ravens don’t fall victim to a post-rivalry game letdown in Week 15.
