Sit-em: Doug Baldwin (SEA) @ Jacksonville

Every Seattle Seahawks game has become must watch television because of quarterback Russell Wilson. What he has been able to do this season has been special and I won’t be surprised if he finds someway to win this tough game too.

What makes the Seahawks success even more incredible is that they are putting up great offensive numbers without Doug Baldwin having his typical season statistically. Baldwin has only topped 100 yards twice this season and only has one game of double-digit catches.

Baldwin and Wilson have developed one of the best receiver-quarterback connections over the past several seasons, but it hasn’t seemed the same this year. Wilson is having to spread the ball to multiple targets. Wilson seems more confident in his other receivers and it is hurting Baldwin’s fantasy football value.

It seems odd talking about a player who is going to top 1,000 yards again and is sixteenth in the NFL in receiving yards as having a down year, but that’s the case for Baldwin. He is consistent, but not spectacular like in years prior.

This week he gets to go up against the best defense in the NFL in the Jacksonville Jaguars. Corner back Jalen Ramsey is certainly going to shadow Baldwin all over the field and make it tough for him to top that 100 yard plateau once again in Week 14.

Fantasy football players are relying on big numbers from Baldwin for their playoff matchups, but that isn’t likely. Temper expectations and plan for a tough day for Baldwin in this one.

Other options: Josh Doctson (WAS) @ Los Angeles Chargers and Alshon Jeffery (PHI) @ Los Angeles Rams.
