The Jimmy Garoppolo era got off to a winning start in Chicago. Next up is a trip to Houston to take on the Texans in a Week 14 matchup. Here is the preview with the latest news, X-factors, injuries and much more.

For quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, his first start as a member of the San Francisco 49ers ended in fine fashion. Down two points late in the 4th quarter, it was Garoppolo who engineered a 14-play, 86-yard drive to win the game.

It was a superb performance from the third-year signal-caller, helping the San Francisco offense move the ball unlike it had yet to this season. In all, the 49ers accumulated 23 first downs and out-gained Chicago 388 yards to 147 yards.

Garoppolo will now try to replicate the same winning formula on the road when San Francisco faces the Houston Texans. It is the first of three straight games versus the AFC South, with the Tennessee Titans and Jacksonville Jaguars coming up in respective weeks.

One aspect of the game to watch for is to see if the connections that were clicking against the Bears for the 49ers, wide receivers Marquise Goodwin and Trent Taylor became clear favorites for Garoppolo, continues into the week versus Houston.
