It’s a shame to think just how promising the Houston Texans’ season could have been in 2017.

Alas, Week 13 pretty much summed up how things have gone, as the Texans fell to the Tennessee Titans 24-13.

Houston quarterback Tom Savage threw the ball a ton — 49 passing attempts, completing 31 of those for 365 yards and a touchdown against one interception. It’s largely due to the fact the Texans couldn’t get much going on the ground. Despite getting out to a 10-point lead, the lack of a running game clearly hurt.

Oh, and four sacks taken wasn’t a bonus either.

The Texans are limping towards the finish but can at least look at a relatively promising 2018 — a year in which quarterback Deshaun Watson (injured reserve — knee) is back fully healthy.
