NFL power rankings: Breaking down all 32 teams’ standings in Week 14
By Peter Panacy
The Packers managed to get back to the .500 mark after knocking off the Buccaneers 26-20 in overtime after running back Aaron Jones’ 20-yard touchdown run.
This is the method of operation for Green Bay — hold the line with quarterback Brett Hundley until All-Pro QB Aaron Rodgers (collarbone) returns, who is eligible to return as early as Week 15:
Hundley wasn’t good, throwing for just 84 yards and an interception. But the Packers’ running game was good, especially with running back Jamaal Williams picking up 113 yards and a touchdown.
Green Bay was outgained, had 16 first downs to the Bucs’ 25 and lost the time-of-possession battle. But for the Packers to sneak into the postseason, this is how they have to win games until Rodgers returns.
And that’s soon.
