Start-em: Marshawn Lynch (OAK) vs. New York Giants

It was just last week that I was questioning Marshawn Lynch and the Raiders running game. Now I am starting him. Lynch showed some powerful runs last week and is in a nice matchup against the weak Giants defense for fantasy football players in Week 13.

The Oakland passing game is going to be very thin this week with New York coming to town. Wide receivers Michael Crabtree and Amari Cooper are both expected to miss this game. That leaves this offense scrambling to find playmakers.

Marshawn Lynch needs to answer that call.

Lynch’s yards-per-rush average of 2.58 last week is not impressive at all, but he wasn’t getting many lanes against a tough Denver defense. He still managed to find the end zone and had a season-high 26 carries. With 25 carries against the Giants, he is a lock to go over 100 yards and go in for at least one touchdown and possibly more.

This week, it comes down to who you trust in the Raiders offense. They are going to score points against the Giants because almost every team that plays them does. Do fantasy football players trust Carr throwing to Cordarrelle Patterson and Seth Roberts or Marshawn Lynch?

I am going with beast mode coming off of two consecutive 67 yard performances for my Week 13 lineups.

Other options: Alvin Kamara (NO) vs Carolina and Carlos Hyde (SF) @ Chicago.
