With the San Francisco 49ers visiting the Chicago Bears this week, Niner Noise takes a look at five critical matchups the Niners will have to win to pull off a road victory in Week 13.

No surprise, but the 1-10 San Francisco 49ers aren’t favored against the 3-8 Chicago Bears in Week 13.

According to Sportsbook Review, the Niners enter this matchup as 4.5-point underdogs, which doesn’t bode well for head coach Kyle Shanahan’s chances to secure victory No. 2 in his inaugural season.

Yet this is one of only a handful of realistic winnable games San Francisco has enjoyed this season.

If the 49ers are capable of pulling off an upset, they’ll have to secure some key matchups in their favor and exploit them to the best possible means.

In this slideshow, we’ll take a closer look at those specific matchups and why they’re so important to San Francisco’s chances in Week 13.

Starting off up front with the Niners offensive line.
