Outside Linebacker. Minnesota. De'Vondre Campbell. 4. player. 42.

This would be the second of three picks used to trade up for Joshua Garnett, leaving the 49ers to pick freely at No. 105 overall in Round 4.

Knowing what we know now, a wise move would have been to add now-Atlanta Falcons linebacker De’Vondre Campbell, who ended up going at No. 115.

Campbell isn’t so much of a pass-rushing specialist, rather a solid coverage linebacker who could have easily taken over for veteran linebacker Ahmad Brooks by now. Pro Football Focus currently has Campbell grading out with an 80.2 overall mark, which is significantly higher than Niners current SAM linebacker, Eli Harold, at 45.7.
