L, 34-31 vs. Falcons. Previous: . Seattle Seahawks. 8. team. 36.

To be fair, the Seattle Seahawks are pretty banged up right now and entered Monday Night Football without standout defensive backs Richard Sherman (Achilles) and Kam Chancellor (neck), who are both out for the season.

Who knows how much their absences put the Seahawks defense at a disadvantage against an Atlanta Falcons offense that seems to have finally rediscovered its stride. Regardless, the once-mighty Seahawks didn’t look so imposing at CentruryLink Field in Week 11.

To be somewhat fair, the Hawks did negate the Falcons running game to a large extent, although No. 1 tailback Devonta Freeman (concussion) was out.

For Seattle’s offense, it’s the same old story — a porous offensive line, quarterback Russell Wilson under pressure and a general lack of the running game.

But a missed game-typing field goal probably hurts the most.

If there’s a good bit of news, the Seahawks’ short weeks winds up in San Francisco against a one-win 49ers team in Week 12.
