Remember earlier this season when everyone was ready to crown the Chiefs as champions of the AFC and name rookie running back Kareem Hunt the league’s MVP?

Don’t worry. You weren’t alone.

The Chiefs’ latest debacle came at the hands of the lowly Giants, who didn’t exactly do anything impressive. But rather Kansas City managed to play an uninspiring brand of football in Week 11.

Quarterback Alex Smith was uncharacteristically picked off twice, and Hunt had a pedestrian outing with just 73 yards and an average of 4.1 yards per carry.

Kansas City has now lost four of its last five games, which is quite alarming. Even more of a concern is the fact head coach Andy Reid’s squad was coming off its bye week and should have been more than prepared for this seemingly lopsided contest.

The Chiefs are still dangerous and remain in charge of the division. But if things don’t start turning around quickly, there will be plenty of questions needing answers.
