10. team. 123. . L, 37-9 vs. Eagles. Previous: . Dallas Cowboys

So we’re guessing running back Ezekiel Elliott is pretty important to the Dallas Cowboys offense, aren’t we.

As Elliott finished up the second week of his six-game suspension, the Cowboys were absolutely embarrassed by their division rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles, on Sunday Night Football.

What a way to drop in our NFL power rankings.

With Elliott absent, the Cowboys tried to get things going with backup tailback Alfred Morris. He actually had an OK game, rushing for 91 yards and averaging 5.4 yards per attempt.

But the big story was that of quarterback Dak Prescott, who tossed three interceptions and no touchdowns en route to a terribly low 30.4 passer rating.

Yikes!

Dallas has now scored just 16 combined points in the two games without Elliott on the field. It’s a reasonable assumption to state the Cowboys will continue tumbling without their All-Pro on the field.
