The Philadelphia Eagles are one of only a handful of teams without a sizable number of offseason needs in 2018. Their wide receiver shortage was addressed, and the cornerback crop is vastly better than it was a year ago.

Defensively, Philadelphia looks pretty good. And it’s hard to knock the skill positions on the offensive side of the ball.

But the season-ending knee injury suffered by veteran left tackle Jason Peters raises some alarm bells.

At 35 years old, Peters’ injury is likely going to take some time to recover, and who knows what kind of player he’ll be when he eventually returns. His replacement, Halapoulivaati Vaitai, isn’t cut out to be a full-time starter.

Philly might want to consider going this route as soon as possible.
