No. 2: Philadelphia Eagles (8-1) at Dallas Cowboys (5-4)

NFC East contests are always fun to watch and usually a bit chippy, so there should be no shortage of entertainment between the red-hot Philadelphia Eagles and Ezekiel Elliott-less Dallas Cowboys.

Elliott’s six-game suspension finally kicked off last week, which spelled all kinds of trouble for the Cowboys offense in their 27-7 loss to the Atlanta Falcons. Who knows if the running back’s absence will be the mark of further offensive shutdowns in coming weeks, but it doesn’t help having one of the best tailbacks in the NFL out of the equation.

If there’s good news for Dallas, though, it’s Philadelphia’s defense ranks 26th in the league against the pass. So, perhaps, that opens up chances for Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and the aerial attack to make up for any shortcomings stemming from Elliott’s suspension.

But can the Cowboys stop Philly’s high-flying offense?

Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has been masterful this season, but the focus should be on the running back tandem of Jay Ajayi and LeGarrette Blount. This duo could spell some serious trouble for a Cowboys run defense allowing 4.3 yards per rush.

Even if these two teams were bad, this contest would be relatively fun to watch. Since the Eagles want to maintain their top-profile momentum, while the Cowboys want to weather the storm without their All-Pro running back, fans shouldn’t have any trouble getting excited about this game.
