No. 3: Center Daniel Kilgore

The 49ers offensive line has been problematic for much of the season, and the interior of the O-line is particularly an issue.

More from SF 49ers News

Center is of extreme importance for head coach Kyle Shanahan’s outside-zone scheme, but veteran center Daniel Kilgore hasn’t exactly wowed after beating out Jeremy Zuttah in training camp.

To date, Kilgore has allowed four sacks — highest among all centers, per Pro Football Focus — and has also given up 11 total hurries.

No wonder his pass-blocking PFF grade is a lowly 38.3.

If there is a bonus, though, Kilgore has remained healthy all season. For attrition’s sake, let’s hope this stays the case. But it wouldn’t be surprising to see San Francisco seek an upgrade at this position this offseason.
