Defensive Lineman Ronald Blair

Week 10 marked the first game of 2017 for second-year defensive lineman Ronald Blair (thumb), and he certainly didn’t disappoint.

Blair finished the game with four tackles and two of the Niners’ three sacks on the day.

It’s important to note, as the 49ers are without EDGE players Arik Armstead (hand) and Aaron Lynch (calf), as well as not in a position to expect too much from veteran pass-rusher Elvis Dumervil.

Combine this with the absence of rookie defensive end Solomon Thomas, and San Francisco needed Blair to step up in a big way.

He did, and the Niners’ D-line depth is starting to look good once again.
