. W, 38-24 vs. Browns. Previous: . Detroit Lions. 13. team. 50

Wins over the lowly Browns don’t generate a lot of style points, and it’s never a good look to actually trail Cleveland late in the third quarter.

Still, quarterback Matthew Stafford and the Lions recognized this mismatch and answered with three unanswered questions from the 0:52 mark of the third quarter onward. On the day, Stafford finished with nearly 250 yards passing, those three touchdowns against an interception and a passer rating of 118.9.

That’s what good quarterbacks should do against bad defenses.

We’re still waiting to see Detroit’s ground game swing into full effect, although tailback Ameer Abdullah averaged 4.7 yards per carry and had a touchdown.

At any rate, let’s hope the Lions can continue this momentum into a key NFC North battle on the road against the Bears in Week 11.
