The winless San Francisco 49ers host the 1-7 New York Giants in Week 10, and Niner Noise dishes out five predictions for this not-so-fun-to-watch contest on Sunday.

Just a few years ago, a matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and New York Giants would be one to watch.

Anyone recalling the 2012 NFC Championship game could attest to that.

Here we are in 2017, though, and both teams are struggling about as bad as possible. The Niners have yet to pull off a win this season amid a flurry of injuries and setbacks. Meanwhile, the Giants have also dealt with injuries and are vastly underperforming on the year.

Oddly enough, San Francisco is actually favored in its Week 10 home bout with New York by one point, according to Sportsbook Review, which marks the first time the team has been a favorite this season.

It’s not a big spread, but it’s something to note.

There are more than a handful of storylines to watch this game, but let’s take a look at some predictions for the Niners as they get ready to possibly come away with their first win of 2017.
