Unlike the Seahawks, the Saints don’t have offensive issues. We know this, and it’s all but always going to be the case as long as Drew Brees is under center.

But what has been even more surprising is how much a role New Orleans’ defense has played this season. It’s the primary reason why the Saints are 6-2 and sitting pretty atop the NFC South.

Oh, and it helps the Saints jump up to No. 7 in our NFL power rankings too.

Granted, Tampa Bay’s offense is struggling and lost quarterback Jameis Winston after the first half. But holding an opponent to 200 all-purpose yards is impressive enough.

Meanwhile, Brees was awesome and has his team rolling right now. Who would have guessed New Orleans would be in this spot halfway through the season?
