The Washington Redskins get a nice little boost in our NFL power rankings this week after a very impressive road win over the Seattle Seahawks.

That’s not easy to do, especially against a defense building off CenturyLink Field’s crowd.

Tight end Vernon Davis, who saw plenty of action in Seattle when he was with the 49ers, was Washington’s biggest offensive contributor, hauling in 72 yards through the air and helping maintain the Redskins’ offensive momentum throughout the game.

And Washington’s defense ensured Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson and Co. wouldn’t complete one of those last-second dramatic wins for which Seattle is so well known.
