44. . L, 20-17 at Panthers. Previous: . Atlanta Falcons. 15. team

Week 9 was pretty close to a must-win game for the Atlanta Falcons, especially to keep pace with the first-place Saints and not falling too far behind the Carolina Panthers.

But Carolina’s 20-17 victory over Atlanta pushed the Falcons back to .500, and with the Falcons offense still struggling to find some rhythm, this loss could spell serious problems with Atlanta’s fortunes to get back to the playoffs.

Wide receiver Julio Jones had himself a great game — 118 yards receiving — except on the play where it mattered most.

Ouch.
