Week 9 showed what life could be like for the Texans without quarterback Deshaun Watson, whose impressive rookie season came to an abrupt end after tearing his ACL during practice last week.

Hence the huge fall in NFL power rankings.

The Colts aren’t a good team at all, but the Texans’ loss at home highlights just how bad injuries have been this season.

Still in the hunt — the AFC South is weird, remember? — this report from Jay Glazer of Fox Sports suggests the team might be interested in signing free-agent quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Whatever your thoughts on Kap, he’d certainly be an upgrade over Tom Savage.
