Remember when the New York Jets were supposed to be the worst team in football this year?

Well, that’s not the case. Especially after knocking off the also-surprising Buffalo Bills in Week 9 on Thursday Night Football.

Quarterback Josh McCown was workmanlike, tossing 140 yards and a touchdown. And running back Matt Forte churned out tough yardage and picked up two scores on the ground in the process.

More impressive, though, was the Jets’ ability to shut down Bills running back LeSean McCoy. That was pretty solid.

Not sure one would bank on the Jets knocking off the Bills on a regular basis, but it is safe to say head coach Todd Bowles saved his job this season.
