No. 4: Chuck Pagano, Indianapolis Colts

2017 Record: 2-6, Fourth in AFC South

Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano could be fired after this season for a number of reasons.

Heck, it’s almost funny to consider him rewarding the 49ers for their apparent Week 1 win over Indianapolis when, in fact, Pagano’s Colts actually lost to the Rams:

OK, silly enough. But Pagano has seen his squad go from a perennial double-digit-win team all the way to a lackluster franchise only beginning to turn the page on its previous success.

Pagano’s two wins this season? Only over the lowly Cleveland Browns and 49ers, the latter having to come in overtime.

Hot-seat rumblings surrounding Pagano are nothing new. But with first-year general manager Chris Ballard in charge of things moving forward, it seems likelier he’ll want someone of his choosing running the show in 2018 and beyond.
