14. player. 50. . EDGE. LSU. Arden Key

Whether or not the Detroit Lions want to go this route is entirely contingent on whether or not they’re able to re-sign pass-rusher Ziggy Ansah — a pending free agent likely to cash in on a lucrative deal in 2018.

Even if Ansah re-signs, though, it would still be wise for Detroit to make this move. After all, Ansah has had some inconsistencies to his game the past two years and might not be the elite-level pass-rusher we thought he was back in 2015 when he recorded 14.5 sacks.

LSU’s Arden Key is both talented and controversial.

Minus the injuries and red flags, Key could easily be a top-five pick in the upcoming NFL Draft. When healthy, he’s an elite-level pass-rusher and a player who could make a possible Ansah departure not seem as bad.

Detroit takes the risk.
