Sit-em: CJ Anderson (DEN) @ Kansas City

C.J. Anderson is one of the most confusing running backs to judge in fantasy football. Just when it seems like Anderson is done and won’t be relevant in fantasy football, he sneaks back in. I think this might actually be the beginning of the end for Anderson owners.

I’ve never been too high on Anderson  but against the Kansas City defense, he is especially low this week. Denver’s offense has been having a difficult time getting on track since early in the season and that includes the running game.

Anderson hasn’t gone for over 100 yards since Week 2. He is still getting good usage in Denver but the results haven’t been there. At some point they have to start giving other backs touches.

Fantasy football players are loyal to a fault and Anderson falls under that category. Even with a small slate of games this week, Anderson is not a top ten play in Week 8.

Kansas City still has one of the best defenses in the league to go with a great offense. This is a bad mix for Anderson and the running game in particular. Denver is going to be trailing and needing to catch up in this one. The weight of the game is going to fall on the passing game, leaving Anderson with less opportunity and less fantasy football value.

Other options: Carlos Hyde (SF) @ Philadelphia and Lamar Miller (HOU) @ Seattle.
