NFL power rankings: Week 8 sees the Eagles sitting at No. 1

What was that, San Francisco?
The 49ers remain winless after a flop of an effort, falling to the visiting Dallas Cowboys 40-10 on a day the Niners were honoring legendary wide receiver Dwight Clark.
Games this lopsided have plenty of places to throw blame at, and we can start with four fumbles from San Francisco — three of which were lost.
That didn’t help, and neither did the Niners defense which, despite a return from linebacker Reuben Foster, gave up a whopping 147 rushing yards to Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott.
The Niners couldn’t get much of anything going on offense either, as rookie quarterback C.J. Beathard compiled a mere 76.1 passer rating and was under pressure for almost the entire game.
So much for all those close 49ers losses we’ve seen this season. Week 7 was about as ugly as it could get.
