6. team. 123. . 3-3. . Dallas Cowboys

Week 7 was supposed to be about the former 49ers great, Dwight Clark, but Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekeil Elliott made the 40-10 lopsided affair all about Dallas’ resurgence to the top 10 of our NFL power rankings.

Granted, the Niners are terrible. But good teams beat up on terrible teams, and that’s exactly what the Cowboys did on both sides of the ball.

Elliott couldn’t be stopped, rushing for a whopping 147 yards and picking up another 72 yards through the air, combining for three touchdowns in the process. Prescott was also masterful, and his offensive line did an excellent job keeping him protected.

While the youth movement was great, veteran receiving targets Jason Witten and Dez Bryant also impacted the score sheet.

But perhaps most impressive was Dallas’ defense.

Simply put, edge rusher DeMarcus Lawrence is a beast. He had a sack and forced a fumble, one of three the Cowboys recovered during this Week 7 rout.

The Cowboys don’t get a lot of style points for beating up on the lowly 49ers, but this victory certainly points to Dallas bouncing back after a sluggish start to the season.
