Denver Broncos. 9. team. 45. . 3-3.

I’m nowhere close to writing off the Broncos just yet, but Week 7 marked the third loss in four games for head coach Vance Joseph and Co.

And Denver was shutout in the process to a team many thought would be absolutely terrible this season, the Chargers.

This loss couldn’t have come at a worse time either. Paired with last week’s stunning home loss to the Giants, Week 7 marked the first of three road games for the Broncos. And the next two contests don’t get any easier, as Denver has to face off against the Chiefs and then the Eagles.

Yeah, the Broncos could easily be 3-5 before this little stretch is over.

If that’s the case, expect Denver to drop down much further in our NFL power rankings. Only the Broncos defense keeps them on the fringes of the top 10, but even an elite unit here can’t completely turn Denver into a playoff contender.

The Broncos need to figure things out on offense in a hurry.
