NFL power rankings: Week 8 sees the Eagles sitting at No. 1
By Peter Panacy
It almost looked as if the Bills were going to cough things up late against the Buccaneers in Week 7, only to come away with a narrow 30-27 victory at home.
That’s what happens when you give up 14 points in quick succession, marked by your own lost fumble in the middle of the two.
But Buffalo stood in and managed to tie things up with just over three minutes remaining after a touchdown catch by Bucs wide receiver Mike Evans.
He’s pretty good, if you hadn’t noticed.
Yet a game-winning field goal with 14 seconds left in regulation, the Bills managed to improve to 4-2 and sit in second place amid the now-tough AFC East. Who would have guessed that about this squad heading into 2017?
The Bills might not be the most impressive team, but head coach Sean McDermott has turned the defense around. They deserve the nice climb in our NFL power rankings this week.
