Everyone knows the New Orleans Saints offense is as prolific as it gets. That’s what happens when you have quarterback Drew Brees under center.

Brees and the Saints offense knocked off the typically solid Detroit Lions 52-38 in what looked like more of a Saturday football game than anything else — noteworthy, given the Lions defense ranked ninth in points allowed entering this contest.

The high score doesn’t look good for New Orleans’ defense, but when was the last time anyone touted that unit anyway?

Oh, and with veteran running back Adrian Peterson fully out of the way, it’s finally nice to see rookie running back Alvin Kamara taking over as the featured back. He’s pretty good.
