Arizona Cardinals. 21. team. 32. . 3-3.

One could argue the Arizona Cardinals should be much lower on our NFL power rankings. After all, two of their three wins have come in overtime and against lowly teams like the Colts and 49ers.

Beating a talented Tampa Bay Buccaneers squad 38-33 in Week 6, though, does a good deal to spike the NFL power rankings for head coach Bruce Arians and Co.

Sure, the Bucs lost quarterback Jameis Winston (shoulder) was knocked out of the game early. But his backup, Ryan Fitzpatrick was able to carve up a usually stout Cardinals defense for 290 yards and three touchdowns against two picks. So that’s a bit of a problem and obstacle for any clib higher.

It’s a bit of a shock to see the Cardinals defense having issues, but that’s the case for a team many see as aging and falling out of contention.
