  • Another rookie running back is set to join this year’s already impressive list of great rookie runners. Alvin Kamara is going to explode over the next few weeks. New Orleans traded veteran back Adrian Peterson to open up more touches for Kamara. When a team trades one of the greatest running backs of all time to get someone else opportunities, fantasy football owners need to pay attention.

The Saints were on a bye week in Week 5, so fantasy football players might not remember Kamara’s last game in Week 4 in London. He had 10 catches and added another five rushes for close to 100 yards from scrimmage.

With Peterson gone, not only is Kamara going to continue to be a threat through the air, but there will be more rushing attempts for him as well. The Saints are going to give both Kamara and fellow running back Mark Ingram 20 touches apiece, and Kamara is the far more explosive of the two players.

Kamara is on breakout watch from this point on in 2017. Fantasy football owners are in heaven with his perfect combination of circumstances. He is playing on a team that loves to throw the ball to its running backs and is going to score a ton of points. Kamara is every fantasy football players dream.

Other options: Kareem Hunt (KC) vs. Pittsburgh and CJ Anderson (DEN) vs. New York Giants
