Washington senior linebacker Azeem Victor is easily a mid-round prospect to watch for the remainder of 2018.
According to CBS Sports, Victor is the No. 95 overall prospect, slated to go somewhere towards the end of Round 3.
A three-year starter, Victor’s experience level should translate over well to the NFL level. With the First Pick’s John Dove broke down some of the positive traits Victor displays:
"Washington doesn’t hesitate to use Victor as a blitzing linebacker. He has solid snap awareness and the burst to get after the quarterback. Against the run, Victor possesses the speed to work around blocks and close on the ball carrier. He flashes the ability to make quick reads and fill the hole."
Dove does note Victor doesn’t always take the best angles, though, and often relies too much on his defensive line to converge on ball carriers. These are typically teachable traits, however, and the Niners could easily be inclined to target him with one of four picks between Rounds 2 and 3.
