T.Y. Hilton 46-yard reception (No. 4)
On the next play, the Colts have a 1st-and-10 from their 46-yard line. The Colts line up with 21 personnel in a twins formation, before motioning wide receiver T.Y. Hilton to the closed side of the formation.
Instead of motioning parallel to the line of scrimmage, Hilton — in a veteran move — intentionally moves back a yard as he crosses the formation, which gives him a short running start toward the line as the ball is snapped.
This helps Hilton beat cornerback Dontae Johnson off the line on the deep route. Colts quarterback Jacoby Brissett heaves the ball downfield toward Hilton, but underthrows the pass; however, 5-foot-9 Hilton does a great job of boxing out 6-foot-2 Johnson, before hauling in the catch just beyond the off-balanced corner’s reach:
Win probability: +27% (47% to 74%)
