3-2. . Jacksonville Jaguars. 20. team. 52.

Who knows what to make out of the Jacksonville Jaguars right now. They’re basically a team capable of knocking off the best the NFL has to offer, only knowing full well they have the potential to lose to vastly inferior squads the same day.

Nonetheless, the Jags’ 30-9 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 5 says a lot.

Perhaps it says something about the Steelers’ offensive struggles too, but we’ll get to that. And it isn’t as if Jacksonville’s defense is bad. In fact, the Jaguars have the No. 2-ranked scoring defense in the league right now (83 points allowed).

It’s weird to look at the AFC South standings and see Jacksonville sitting pretty at No. 1. Not sure how long that stays the case.

But if rookie running back Leonard Fournette continues to be a force — he was in Pittsburgh, with 181 yards and two touchdowns — perhaps Jacksonville surprises some people this season.
