NFL power rankings: Week 5 sees 49ers stay low, a new team at No. 1

One might guess the Falcons didn’t exactly take the visiting Bills seriously in Week 4. At least not Buffalo’s defense.
That might be the one problem facing the Falcons in 2017 — playing down to the level of their competition, although the Bills are starting to make waves. Perhaps this won’t be so much of a shocker in a few weeks’ time.
Atlanta certainly dodged a bullet with wide receiver Julio Jones’ hip injury. He’s not expected to miss playing time, per ESPN. But fellow wideout Mohamed Sanu could miss a couple of weeks.
Regardless, quarterback Matt Ryan didn’t look good, uncharacteristically throwing two interceptions en route to a 61.8 passer rating.
Perhaps this is just a blemish on Atlanta’s efforts to get back to the Super Bowl this season, and they’ll have a bye week in Week 5 to figure out what went wrong before returning to action against the scuffling Dolphins.
