What a tough break for the Vikings and rookie running back Dalvin Cook.

According to the latest from ESPN, Cook tore his ACL during the team’s Week 4 14-7 loss to the Detroit Lions and will miss the rest of 2017.

This, combined with quarterback Sam Bradford (knee), puts Minnesota’s prospects for competing in the NFC North in serious jeopardy.

Yes, the Vikings defense is good enough to make things interesting. But with two of their best offensive weapons out of the picture, is it realistic to make such an assumption?

At least Minnesota gets a fairly easy contest against Chicago this upcoming week.
