49ers stock report following Week 4 loss to the Cardinals
By Peter Panacy
Wide Receiver Aldrick Robinson
The 49ers lost No. 2 wide receiver Marquise Goodwin to a head injury early in Week 4, putting depth receiver Aldrick Robinson into a starting role.
On paper, Robinson’s three catches for 52 yards suggests a decent day, especially when the offense was struggling to find any sort of continuity.
But Robinson was also targeted 12 times, of which two were dropped, including this would-be big play:
Coming into Week 4, the Niners were leading the NFL with eight dropped passes. That number will certainly increase after this week, and it’s likely San Francisco remains atop this category heading into Week 5.
Depending on the severity of Goodwin’s injury, we’ll see if Robinson remains a trusted factor.
For now, though, his stock is down.
