Start-em: Larry Fitzgerald (ARI) vs. San Francisco

The ageless wonder, Larry Fitzgerald, continues to impress in 2017. Without star running back David Johnson, due to injury, Fitzgerald has picked up the slack in a big way. This weekend he goes against an inexperienced San Francisco secondary and is in store for another big fantasy week.

Fitzgerald has eaten up most of the targets left from Johnson’s injury, and that has led to great fantasy football numbers. He has 34 targets through the Cardinals’ first three games. Giving a future Hall of Famer that kind of opportunity means big time production.

The San Francisco 49ers secondary was torched last week by quarterback Jared Goff and the Rams. Carson Palmer and the Cardinals have more weapons, even without Johnson, than the Rams. The 49ers secondary is going to have to step up in a big way to cover these Arizona wide receivers, most importantly, Fitzgerald.

Fitzgerald is a very interesting trade target in fantasy football in coming weeks as well. If he has another big game like last week, he is a great sell-high candidate. However, if he throws out a poor performance, which is highly unlikely, than he is a buy-low option for fantasy teams in need of a top receiver. Fitzgerald isn’t slowing down anytime soon for the Cardinals or fantasy football owners alike.

Other options: Antonio Brown (PIT) @ Baltimore and AJ Green (CIN) @ Cleveland
