  • The picture above is the perfect image to describe how fantasy football owners feel about Brandon Marshall this season. Looking up to the heavens asking, “where is he?” Finding Brandon Marshall might actually be a good team name this year, because it is actually happening in New York.

The Giants added Marshall to be a key piece to their offense, and he has been a no-show through the first three weeks. Marshall has only 10 receptions on the season for a dreadful 93 yards. That was the stat line for Marshall in one game throughout most of his career.

He did get targeted by quarterback Eli Manning 11 times in Week 3, but still the results weren’t there. It seemed like a concerted effort to get Marshall involved and it just didn’t work. Wide receivers Sterling Shepard and Odell Beckham Jr. had great games with less targets than Marshall.

Tampa Bay’s defense was torn apart in Week 3 and should be angry coming into Week 4 against the Giants. This doesn’t make for a fun afternoon for Marshall on Sunday.

If he doesn’t start producing, the Giants may begin to send some of those 11 targets to other options. Running back Shane Vereen has been under utilized, and rookie tight end Evan Engram is getting more comfortable New York’s offense. Marshall may be in for a decreased workload if his play doesn’t improve soon.

Avoid him in fantasy football until then.
