Fantasy football: Waiver-wire players to watch in Week 3
By Jay Marsdale
Jared Goff (LAR)
I never though I would be able to say that a Rams quarterback is becoming relevant in fantasy football. Jared Goff and the Rams offense looks great. He is worth keeping on your bench as a backup quarterback with high upside in case of injury.
The Rams have already played their game for Week 3 and impressed enough for Goff to make my list. Thursday nights game against the San Francisco 49ers wasn’t being though of by most as an exciting affair. However, Goff proved everyone wrong by throwing for nearly 300 yards and three touchdowns, while receiving a quarterback rating of 145.8.

This was not a fluke performance. Goff has now led his team to score more than 40 points in a game two times in three weeks to start 2017. No other quarterback can say that besides Jared Goff.
Goff is owned in four percent of ESPN leagues, but this number is going to rise quickly. Goff is making all the throws he needs to and looks comfortable doing it.

He looks like a completely different man from the one we saw last season for the Rams. Add him if you drafted a quarterback like Eli Manning or Andy Dalton. He is an instant solution of your fantasy quarterback problems.
