Jermaine Kearse (NYJ)

The New York Jets traded with the Seattle Seahawks for Jermaine Kearse just as the season began. No one really knew what to expect from him starting with his new team. He hadn’t played as a top receiver in Seattle for years, and that’s what the Jets were going to be asking him to do in New York.

Through three weeks, he has shown that he is more than capable of helping a historically poor Jets offense. Kearse has eleven catches for 123 yards and two scores to start the 2017 season. That’s more than anyone would’ve hoped for from the veteran wide receiver learning a new offense.

Heading into the season the fantasy football talk for the Jets was on second-year wide receiver Robby Anderson. He has been severely outperformed. Kearse barely gets in to this list under the 40 percent line. He is owned in 35 percent of ESPN leagues and isn’t a sure thing to be available in your league, but if he is, Kearse is definitely worth the add.

The Jets are in the same situation as the Browns. Bad teams that are forced to throw late in games to play catch up. Those stats still count for fantasy football, however. The Jets and Browns are not going to win games, but Kearse and Higgins can help you win in fantasy football for Week 3 and beyond.
