New York Jets

How far will the Jets’ apparent tank job take them?

No team ever likes to admit it’s tanking, but it’s impossible to suggest anything else but this for the 2017 New York Jets.

The Jets parted ways with wide receivers Brandon Marshall and Eric Decker. Perennial Pro Bowl center Nick Mangold is gone, as is veteran cornerback Darrelle Revis. And, most recently, the Jets moved defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson via a trade to the Seattle Seahawks.

Yeah, New York is tanking.

A guess would be the Jets are stockpiling picks and trying to get the highest one possible for 2018, likely to land the first in what promises to be a solid quarterback class in the NFL Draft.

Who’s starting under center for the Jets this season again?
