Jacksonville Jaguars

When do the Jaguars give up on quarterback Blake Bortles?

The Jacksonville Jaguars have a lot of pieces in place to be a good team in 2017. Unfortunately, quarterback Blake Bortles is the one component holding this team back.

Bortles flashed some promise in 2015, but last year proved to be yet another disappointing campaign for the former No. 3-overall pick. And for some reason, the Jags picked up Bortles’ fifth-year option for 2018.

Exactly why is anyone’s guess.

Unless Bortles gets off to a hot start, Jacksonville will be under pressure to finally admit the mistake and move on.

It might be best to do that sooner than later.
