49ers Top Plays Continued

Nose tackle Earl Mitchell played better this week, and got consistent penetration into the Broncos backfield.

Here, he slows Anderson, allowing Carradine and linebackers NaVorro Bowman and Reuben Foster to make the tackle:

For the second game in a row, it took a while for the 49ers offense to get started.

On this third down, tight end Vance McDonald — who lines up in the backfield — doesn’t reach the marker, but shows the awareness to get up and fight for additional yardage:

With the 49ers back on defense, Reid isn’t confused by the misdirection pass, and wraps up Fowler after a minimal gain:

The 49ers bring the blitz, and Lynch quickly unloads the pass, but Reid tackles tight end Virgil Green short of first down:

The false-start penalty saves the Broncos from a big loss, as Reid flies through the line toward running back De’Angelo Henderson:

Bowman breaks up the third-down pass to Green and nearly causes an interception after the deflection:
