With the first week of preseason complete, the San Francisco 49ers gave us some good things and some bad things. Niner Noise takes a look at five players to watch as Week 2 of preseason approaches.

While the preseason is never going to be confused with a regular-season NFL matchup, it can expose strengths and weaknesses in players and teams.

The first string for San Francisco, on both offense and defense, struggled against Kansas City’s first teams. But that is what part of the preseason is for: to iron out the wrinkles in all three phases and put together the best 53-man roster possible.

There were some strong performances as well as some poor ones that stood out.
