No. 5: Center Jason Kelce, Philadelphia Eagles

The 49ers offensive line was one of the top problems emanating from San Francisco’s first preseason game versus the Kansas City Chiefs.

Incumbent Niners center Daniel Kilgore allowed the Niners to part ways with Jeremy Zuttah, but the O-line is still thin and underperforming. Kilgore does have the flexibility, though, to bump out to guard.

And this opens up the possibility of targeting someone like Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce.

Kelce, a two-time Pro Bowler, was suggested as a roster cut candidate by Bleacher Report’s Gary Davenport. The Eagles aren’t exactly in the best of salary cap situations, and parting ways with Kelce would free up nearly $4 million in valuable space right away.

In addition, Davenport points out the Eagles have a backup option in Isaac Seumalo, who could wind up being a better long-term option anyway.

A cheaper one too, putting Kelce into this discussion.
