By Chris Wilson
Early career with the Oakland Raiders
The Oakland Raiders drafted Murphy in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft, and quickly inserted him into the starting lineup. He followed up a respectable rookie season with an improved sophomore season, but then fell out of favor with the Raiders in his third year.
