No. 4: Wide Receiver Kelvin Benjamin

I was a huge fan of Carolina Panthers wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin as a solid No. 1 fantasy option last year.

Benjamin was coming off a season-long injury in 2015, but the Panthers were supposed to have yet another offensively dominant year after falling short in Super Bowl 50 that year.

Well, it kind of worked out that way with Benjamin recording 941 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. Those are good numbers for a No. 2 wide receiver on your fantasy roster, but they certainly don’t suggest a reach in the early rounds.

Benjamin also slowed down the second half of the season. And while a lot of this could be attributed to Carolina’s offensive woes throughout the year, there are still plenty of reason to wonder if the Panthers struggle in the same way again in 2017.

Even if they don’t, Benjamin’s numbers will take a hit from the addition of running back/overall-do-it-all Christian McCaffrey.

Benjamin’s Fantasy Pros ADP is 29.7, which makes him on the fringes of a No. 2 receiving option.

It’s best to leave him to someone else.
